Insurance Partnerships

The Tampa Bay Area YMCAs partner with various insurance companies to ensure we can help our members achieve their health goals. Below lists the partnerships that are currently active.  We are always working to bring other insurance companies on board.  Please keep in mind if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) it is likely that you are able to use these dollars for membership and for health education and services (personal training, massage, Diabetes Prevention Program, etc.)

United Healthcare

In most instances if a company uses United Healthcare for their health insurance benefit coverage (excluding self-insured companies) the employees are eligible to enroll in the Diabetes Prevention Program for no cost at all- please call your member services number to see if you are eligible and then visit the DPP page of this website to answer a few questions to determine if you are a good candidate for the program. Additionally, some United insured constituents are eligible to submit for a $20 membership reimbursement if they check into a Tampa Bay Area YMCA 12 times per month.

Humana Vitality

If a company has signed up to offer their employees Vitality points- employees can earn points by working out at a Tampa Bay Area YMCA.  To sign up please talk to a welcome center employee.  Additionally, participants in the Diabetes Prevention Program will be provided with up to 700 points for completing the program

Florida Blue

In most instances if a company uses United Healthcare for their health insurance benefit coverage (excluding self-insured companies) the employees are eligible to enroll in the Diabetes Prevention Program for no cost at all- please call your member services number to see if you are eligible and then visit the DPP page of this website to answer a few questions to determine if you are a good candidate for the program.
